Hi! First, a little background on the title of our blog. Big Papa Yank, also known as "The Father", used to say that people traveling or sightseeing could almost always be overheard saying "Lookit the Lookit the" as they pointed to this or that. Here's a definition of sorts from the Urban Dictionary:
Lookit
Abbreviation of "look at that" or "look at this," typically uttered shrilly in public places by small children seeking to draw attention to mundane objects that they, for some reason, consider fascinating.
Lookit! A kitty cat! Lookit, mommy! Lookit!
We'll be updating (or at least trying to) everyday, so check back often to see where we are or where we have been. It's going to be interesting, to say the least.
Oh, and we are currently in Nashville, TN. We are headed out to the Titans/Chargers game this evening (AKA Rick's Fantasy Football Super Bowl), so we'll post later with the details of our first day on the road.
